The Meat Packing district - or Kødbyen in Danish - is a very special place where the old industrial flavour shines through everything that is located there. This is no exception at ÅBEN, which has still managed to stand out from the crowd and become a very special gem in the middle of the old butcher's premises.
ÅBEN in Kødbyen is also a brewery. That's why the home-brewed beer is flowing through the taps, and it couldn't be fresher. As soon as the beer is ready, it is sent into the taps. While you enjoy your beer, you have a view of the brewery, as it is located in the same room. This gives a very special atmosphere of being there where it all happens, and it feels special to be able to follow the process from malt to beer. ÅBEN in Kødbyen is also a restaurant, so you can grab a bite to eat while enjoying your beer.
They also have locations in both Carlsberg Byen and Nordhavn. Each location has its own character, but what they all have in common is a focus on quality, craftsmanship and a relaxed atmosphere.
