Located inside the National Museum of Denmark, Café Daisy is a welcoming café and lunch restaurant where Danish food culture meets national history in relaxed surroundings. Open to everyone – even without a museum ticket – it is an ideal stop for a coffee, a leisurely lunch, or a break while exploring Copenhagen’s city centre.

The menu has been developed in collaboration with Madkastellet and draws inspiration from Danish food traditions, the museum’s collections, and current exhibitions. Guests can enjoy classic lunch dishes, open-faced sandwiches, seasonal specials, as well as coffee, cakes, and child-friendly options. The menu changes throughout the year, reflecting the seasons while maintaining a connection to stories from Denmark’s cultural heritage.

Overlooking the National Museum’s impressive central hall, the café combines historic architecture with a contemporary interior, creating an inviting setting for visitors. The ambition is to offer an informal gathering place that appeals equally to museum guests, local Copenhageners, families, students, and international visitors.

Café Daisy works with certified organic ingredients and aims to keep prices accessible, making it easy for a wide audience to stop by. The result is a place where history and everyday life come together around the table, and where a visit to the National Museum can continue over lunch, a cup of coffee, or a slice of cake.
