At Snoremark, you can experience an organic meadery and cider orchard where local ingredients are turned into award-winning mead, cider, and other specialities. Here, ancient traditions meet modern brewing techniques, and you can taste drinks inspired by recipes dating back to the Bronze Age and Viking times.

Snoremark is set on a ridge above Roskilde Fjord, surrounded by burial mounds and historic churches. Around 6,000 litres of mead are brewed here annually, and the place has won several prizes – most recently a gold medal at Apimondia, the world beekeeping congress often referred to as the “world championship of mead”, for the mead Luthendrank.

Mead, cider and unique taste experiences

When you visit Snoremark, you can follow the history of mead through tastings – from recipes developed in collaboration with the National Museum of Denmark, inspired by the Viking Age and the Bronze Age, to modern interpretations with honey, apples, fruits, and herbs. In addition to mead, the estate also produces cider, vermouth, gin liqueur, and alcohol-free apple mulled punch.

Wild herbs from the Arctic

Snoremark is also behind Kvann Kompagniet, which creates drinks and delicacies from hand-picked wild herbs from Greenland, Iceland, and northern Canada. Try flavours such as angelica, crowberries, or Arctic thyme in products like gin, schnapps, and herb salt.

Unique overnight stay in a glamping tent

At Snoremark, you can spend the night in a luxury glamping tent, set in a small green oasis. The tents stand among the trees in the cider orchard with views over the fields, the bird reserve at Gundsømagle Lake, and Roskilde Fjord. It is a nature experience close to the meadery, with time to enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

Experiences on the farm

Besides the meadery, you will also find a cider orchard, herb gardens, and an apiary where you can get close to the bees. Products can be purchased directly on site or via Snoremark’s webshop.
