Danish Architecture Center

Much more than a museum about Danish architecture, it's a full experience with walks, talks and more.

Danish Architecture Center (DAC) is an international cultural attraction passionate about engaging more people in the world og architecture. It explores architecture, urban development and design from its base at BLOX on Copenhagen harbourside. You can visit engaging exhibitions or join city walks and events – also for families.

The regularly-updated exhibitions at DAC showcase the latest trends in architecture along with insights from leading Danish architects. It's a place to discover masters of architecture like Jan Gehl and Arne Jacobsen, along with the most interesting Danish studios right now, for example BIG and 3XN, who have produced innovative architecture such as the VM Houses in Ørestad and the UN city at Copenhagen harbor. DAC also hosts permanent exhibitions about Danish architecture and design history – also experience the DAC Slide – the wildest art installation in Copenhagen that challenge your senses on a unique 40-meter, 4-story spiral slide

Permanent exhibition: So Danish!

Danish Architecture Center's first permanent exhibition on Danish architecture. The exhibition unfolds the story of Danish architecture from the Viking Age to the present day and gives you the opportunity to travel into architecture and understand how central it is to our democratic society.

With the exhibition, you will experience how architecture has always played a central role in our education, our cultural understanding and our common future. In addition to all the highlights of Danish architectural history, there will also be the opportunity to delve into the individual style periods, meet the architects, and discover brand new projects that have had a major impact on the architecture we are surrounded by today and in the future.

Guided architecture tours

You can also experience architecture up close with DAC as your personal guide. A variety of public guided tours with expert guides uncover Copenhagen's architectural legacy, with visits to hidden modern gems, new Danish icons, vibrant neighbourhoods and historic landmarks. It's all aimed to showcase the reasons why Copenhagne is one of the most livable and sustainable cities in the world. All tour tickets include free entrance to DAC.
