FORMAT

What has Danish design and a great dining experience got in common? The answer must be the good, simple and honest craftsmanship. And good, simple, and honest craftsmanship is the foundation of Designmuseum Denmark's café FORMAT.

FORMAT is based in the museum's newly renovated café area with direct access to the beautiful museum garden, which in summer, with its parasols, looks like a scene from an English tea party. Ecology, animal welfare and local support are important parameters when creating the menu, and the dishes will therefore constantly be changed as new ingredients come into season. However, one thing remains the same; everything is always freshly prepared with ingredients from local producers.

Every Thursday, the doors to FORMAT are open a little longer when the café hosts "Thursday Dinner". Based on craftsmanship and good ingredients, Chef Brian celebrates pure flavours and creates an à la carte menu that is always surprising, simple and extremely tasty.

Visiting the café is always free - even without a museum ticket.
