Valby Ostelager

In the middle of Valby Langgade is Valby Ostelager, a small shop that has been supplying the neighbourhood with cheese since 1927 and is now run by cheesemonger Troels Munk Christensen, who has been behind the counter since 1987. The shop is often described as old-fashioned in the best possible way, where you are allowed to taste your way through the selection and get personal guidance for cheese platters, tapas and everyday lunch boxes.

Regular customers highlight the warm, humorous tone between staff and customers, and many say that they always leave with something unexpected in their bag because there was a new seasonal cheese or a tempting sausage they just had to try.
